LUCCA AND EUROPE: AN IDEA OF MIDDLE-AGES
A selection of over one hundred works beetwen the V and the XI century to explore the artistic production of Lucca by precise references to the European context. An interesting exhibition where the works of art, as Ragghianti taught us, is evaluated in dynamic relationship with the surrounding phenomena. The exhibition also makes use of recent studies on the types of decorative elements and their intellectual and cultural backgrounds.
