The Board of Directors of the Teatro del Giglio, in order to open the theater to the city, decided to set up a fascinating exhibition into the theater itself, drawing on the heritage of many opera productions that the Teatro del Giglio staged in the last twenty years.
Starting from December 26th until January 2010, in the theater will be on display models of scene objects, props and costumes suitably restored and 'refreshed' by the staff of theater with the specific co-stagecraft of a toolmaker, and in some places will also recreated some brief moments of the best Opera staged at the Theatre of Giglio.
Most of the items on display belong to the stage works of Puccini repertoire (Boheme, Butterfly, Tosca, Turandot, Gianni Schicchi, Suor Angelica, Tabarro, Le Villi). All productions made by the artists of the Laboratory of the Teatro del Giglio.
A guide will show the visitors every half hour - throughout the exhibition illustrating the various productions and entering the theater in every place, from the floor of the stage, making it known in all its functions and the most diverse points of view.
