Sixth round of the Lu.C.C.A. - Lucca Center of Contemporary Art with the exhibition video "Behind the goal." From 11 to 17 January 2013, the video focus explores the figure of the famous Florentine photographer Piergiorgio Branzi (1928). The stylistic eclecticism and technical characterized his long and varied career and documentary, and it is this flexibility that leads him in recent years to experience the potential of digital technology.

Branzi is formed in the figurative tradition in Florence, identifying himself with the line of "realism-formalist" and the 50s this carries his training in photography. His famous motorcycle trips throughout Italy, with which documents the explosion of mass society of the peninsula, collaborating regularly with "The World" Pannunzio. At the end of the 50s abandoned his law studies, he worked for RAI. In 1962 Enzo Biagi entrusted him with the role of correspondent in Moscow, where he remained for four years. This assignment will take him to continue with diligence the photographic work.
In 1966 he moved to Paris where, again as a correspondent for RAI, will document the most salient events of May '68 French, to be followed by documentaries and photo reportage in Asia, Europe and Africa.
After the experience of Moscow will compete with painting and engraving, research and transport in the photograph. The mid-90s saw Branzi photographically documenting the places Pasolini.
