Lucca represents Italy in an ambitious European project for young European talents involved in an international project sponsored by the Fondazione Banca del Monte di Lucca (Italy), by the Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian (Portugal), from Institusjonen Fritt Ord (Norway) and the Körber-Stiftung (Germany).
Epea02 - European Photo Exhibition Award, the second edition of the traveling photo exhibition aims to enhance young European talents, who last winter led to Lucca almost 5 thousand visitors. Also in this edition, to be held in 2014 under the title The New Social, are involved in the 4 countries: Italy by the Fondazione Banca del Monte di Lucca, Norway with The Fritt Ord Foundation, Oslo, Portugal with Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian and Germany with the Körber Foundation in Hamburg. In this second edition, the participating photographers will be asked to portray the new social scenarios, working on issues of great relevance and trying to explore the signals of the detectors changes in cultural identity, lifestyles, ways of communicating, in an analysis criticism of the new models of civic participation, social and political.
The photographic projects selected, extremely different from each other, are presented in the catalog and at the same time in a traveling exhibition that is hosted in major venues and during the most important festivals in Europe, such as Paris Photo, giving photographers the emerging ' opportunity to perform in prestigious venues. After Oslo, the exhibition will move to Lucca, in the Palace of Exhibitions Foundation BML which will be staged from September 7 to October 6, then you move to Paris, and finally in Hamburg at the beginning of 2015.
