INFLUENCE OF THE TWENTIETH CENTURY, Pieraccini collection

Special set-up  of the prestigious permanent collection of John and Vera Pieraccini.
Paintings, drawings, sculptures by talian and Foreign artists from the 19th Centuries to contemporary art. Vera and John Pieraccini Collection consists of approximately 2300 works mostly of authors active in the late nineteenth century and the end of the twentieth. For the most part it is of Italian and Western Europe, however, there is also a significant representation of the art of non-European continents.
The graphic works  of the collection also consists of paintings and sculpture, mostly by Italian artists of the twentieth century. Relevant groups of valuable artefacts evidence of Asian and South American cultures; works which is usually indicated as belonging to the so-called " ethnic art "and archaeological finds not only the Mediterranean basin, and some objects of '900;
The collection of John Pieraccini and his wife, Vera, was formed gradually in the course of their life, the fruit of knowledge, travel, meetings, "love at first sight", but also and mainly because of a genuine passion and a curiosity about all forms of artistic expression and a particular attention to the contemporay one.
Viareggio and Rome play a significant role in the formation of  the collection, and this indicates, however, the peculiarity of the primary criterion that has made: the direct knowledge of places and artists.
