MUSEUMS DETECTIVES

Detective at Museum:
On the occasion of the XIV Culture Week (14-22 April), an event dedicated to all children of school age.
Saturday, April 21 from 11.00 to about 13.00 at the National Museum of Villa Guinigi Detective Museum, an educational workshop for an audience aged between 7 and 13 years:
a playful study in the theme of restoration and conservation of works of art, to sensitize the young to respect the cultural property and the protection of our heritage.
Parents can visit the Museum for free, their children will be followed and engaged in the search for clues to unravel some mysteries: the operator learning and the restorer, respectively in the roles of "Chief Inspector" and "forensic", inform children "special agents" that some "crimes" have been made, and some works are damaged. The artwork then become the "victims" and after the necessary historical and artistic introduction,
the possible causes of the damage are described and discussed.
Each "detectives" will receive a notebook`s on which they can note the identification data and degradations suffered by this, until the completion of the various "cases" when it is established, according to the evidence specifically highlighted the responsibilities of the various "suspects".
Everyone will be provided of torches, magnifying glasses, tweezers, gloves and masks of cotton or latex, tools needed for the investigation under the supervision of the conservator.
