Important festival in Lucca in the day of the anniversary of the death of Santa Zita, the Saint of flowers. from 9 am to 8 pm a flower market is held in Piazza Anfiteatro, and in the small squares around, set of temporary gardens.
Her body is preserved in basilica of St. Frediano, and exposed during the day of celebration for the offers and votes.
According to tradition, on April 27th (the day of Santa Zita) people use to offer bouquets of daffodils and cakes of tradition.
